During the talk, Lang will demonstrate and discuss the equipment he uses, with emphasis on the various microphone setups. He will also play a number of field recordings and discuss what excites him about each.
Lang Elliott is a well-known nature recordist who has been active in the field for nearly thirty years. He is the author of numerous guides to the sounds of birds and other wildlife sounds. His recordings are featured on the National Audubon Society website and in numerous birding apps for mobile devices.
