We need your help! This is the last year of the New York Breeding Bird Atlas and the Apalachin block is under represented in the dataset. So the Waterman Center and the Naturalists’ Club of Broome County decided to host a Birding Blitz at the Waterman Conservation Education Center in Apalachin! This is an all birding event and is open to experienced and beginner birders alike! Learn to identify breeding and nesting behaviors and how to record them through eBird. The event will begin at 10 AM with a presentation on recording protocols and introduction to the breeding bird atlas and the behaviors they look for.
